Peking - Quarryville
About This Spot
Stepping into Peking feels like entering a comforting corner of Quarryville where familiar flavors are served with warmth and ease. The pace here is unhurried, inviting you to pause and savor each bite without fuss. It's a straightforward spot, where the hum of conversation mixes with the occasional clatter from the kitchen, grounding the experience in everyday simplicity rather than formality.
The atmosphere is approachable and sincere—more about genuine hospitality than fancy décor. Friendly faces behind the counter welcome guests as neighbors rather than customers, making it clear this is a place where regulars and newcomers alike are treated with the same open kindness. It’s the kind of local spot you might stumble onto after a long drive, craving something honest and familiar, and find yourself already imagining your next visit.
What sets Peking apart isn’t just the warmth but the sense of value woven through the experience. Plates arrive balanced and satisfying, with fresh, generous ingredients that speak to care rather than shortcuts. Whether ordered in-house or carried back home, each meal feels like a quiet, welcoming celebration of Chinese comfort food — hearty enough to fill you up, nuanced enough to make you pause and appreciate the flavors. From the tender textures to the layers of savory notes, the food quietly invites a closer look, around which easy conversations naturally gather.
Here, the joy isn’t in spectacle but in the steady rhythm of dependable meals and familiar smiles. It’s not the place for grand dining rituals but a steadfast companion when hunger calls for something honest and well-made, accompanied by the small human moments that make any meal feel a little more like home.

My order prompted me to call and thank owner /manager for such a tastey meal.Food was fresh, hot and flavorful! Ingredients were abundant, did not have to search for shrimp in shrimp dish. Our other dishes were just as satisfying. Even though we live 30 miles away , we will be back for our next Chinese food craving!

4.5 stars. General tso's was pretty good. Didn't taste like cheap meat other restaurants use. Very friendly owners. I'll be back next time im in the area.

Never had a problem with the food or timing. Overall great place to order from. If you're looking for fancy sit down restaurant, this ain't for you. Price is cheap, so you get what you paid for.

Good prices and good food. I just moved here and this is my new favorite place. The ppl are very friendly. Highly recommend. Beef and broccoli, chicken lo mein, egg rolls and shrimp, chicken or pork fried rice are all delicious.
